Westborough police issue arrest warrant in juvenile abduction case

WESTBOROUGH — Westborough Police are seeking a suspect following an incident where a juvenile was allegedly held against her will at a local hotel on Jan. 28.

The police were called to 19 Connector Road at about 11 a.m. Tuesday, after receiving a report of the situation.

Upon arrival, officers located the juvenile and transported her to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

An investigation was launched by the Westborough Police Department in collaboration with the Massachusetts State Police, leading to the identification of Iury Vieira DeSouza as the suspect.

DeSouza, who may reside in Shrewsbury, now has an arrest warrant issued against him in connection with the incident.

Authorities believe DeSouza might be driving a black Acura with the Massachusetts Registration 1GXJ36.

The investigation remains active, and the Westborough Police Department is urging anyone with information on DeSouza’s whereabouts to contact them at (508) 366-3060 or reach out to their local law enforcement agency.
