ST. JOHNSBURY — A local man was arrested on multiple charges including transporting regulated drugs into a place of detention, the St. Johnsbury Police Department reported.
Teriq D. Moore, 31, was taken into custody on Jan. 28 at approximately 3:35 p.m. after police were called to recover a vehicle that was allegedly borrowed and not returned.
During the investigation, police discovered that Moore was the subject of an active arrest warrant.
Further investigation revealed that Moore was in violation of an Abuse Prevention Order and a set of Conditions of Release.
He was lodged at the detention facility with bail set at $1,000 for his warrant.
The following day, it was determined that Moore had been in possession of regulated substances when lodged.
He was issued a citation to appear in court on Feb. 3 to answer the new charges, which include Violation of Conditions of Release, Violation of an Abuse Prevention Order, and transport of regulated substances into a place of detention.
Moore was held after arraignment on the initial bail and is set to appear at the Caledonia Superior Court for the subsequent charges.
