NEWPORT — After 32 years of guiding Century 21 Farm & Forest to prominence across Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, owner and broker Dan Maclure has transferred his share of the company to his son and daughter-in-law. As of Jan. 1, Nicholas Maclure and his wife, Megan Maclure purchased Dan’s portion of the business are the full owners of the top-selling real estate firm.
Nick, who has co-managed the firm with his father since 2006, will continue to oversee day-to-day operations alongside Megan, who joined the business in 2013. Together they will carry forward the company’s legacy of excellence in real estate.
Despite stepping away from ownership, Dan is not retiring, and will remain active at Century 21 Farm & Forest as a broker, continuing to serve his long-standing clients and the community at large.
“We are very fortunate to have such a great mentor that I am lucky to call my father.” Nick Maclure said. “We have also been blessed with a wonderful group of agents, amazing staff, and loyal clientele. I look forward to carrying the torch into the future with my wife and business partner by my side.”
Century 21 Farm & Forest has grown into a real estate mainstay in the Northeast Kingdom, known for its commitment to personal service and local expertise.
“Nick and I are excited to continue managing the office together,” Megan said. “While not every couple can work side by side, we’ve been doing it seamlessly for nearly 12 years. We’re incredibly grateful for Dan’s trust in us to carry on the legacy he started. With our dedicated staff and talented agents by our side, we’re thrilled to keep growing the business and building on the foundation he set.”
