NEW LONDON — A 27-year-old man was wounded in a shooting at Favorites Bistro Bar on Thursday night, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
New London Police Department officers arrived at the scene at 90 Bank St. shortly before 9 p.m. after reports of gunfire.
They found the victim with a gunshot wound to his lower extremity.
Officers administered medical aid until the New Fire Department transported the man to L+M Hospital for further treatment.
Investigators secured the area, established a perimeter, and collected evidence.
The Investigative Services Division processed the scene and canvassed the neighborhood.
Early findings suggest that the shooting was not random.
