RICHFORD — On the evening of Jan. 30, at around 7:18 p.m., Vermont State Police troopers patrolling Eastern Avenue stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and subsequently arrested the driver, Aaron Brunton, 26, of Richford, on an active warrant and for driving with a criminally suspended license.
During the traffic stop, troopers discovered Brunton’s Vermont driver’s license was under criminal suspension.
Further investigation revealed an active warrant for Brunton’s arrest on charges including unlawful mischief involving property damage of $250 or less and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
Brunton was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Northwest Correctional Facility in St. Albans.
He was held on $200 bail as ordered by the court and issued a flash citation for a court appearance on Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. regarding the warrant and a citation for a hearing on the driving with a suspended license (DLS) charge set for March 17 at 10 a.m.
