CAMPTON — A Campton man was arrested on multiple sex crime charges after law enforcement conducted a search warrant back in November.

Christopher Adams, 51, is facing seven counts of incest, four counts of bestiality, cruelty to animals, and violation of privacy, according to the Campton Police Department.

Following the issuance of arrest warrants, Adams fled the area.

Police efforts to locate him suggested he was hiding in Manchester, New Hampshire, in an attempt to evade capture.

On Jan. 17, Adams was spotted in Campton but managed to escape from law enforcement following a search operation.

However, on Jan. 29, Adams was found concealed inside a wall at a Manchester residence and taken into custody without incident.

He is currently being held without bail on preventative detention awaiting his court appearance in Plymouth.

The arrest was the result of a collaborative effort involving the Campton Police Department, Grafton County Sheriff’s Department, New Hampshire State Police, Manchester Police Department, and the United States Marshals Service.
