NORWALK — A local man was arrested by the Norwalk Police Department on Jan. 28 for allegedly attempting to commit voyeurism at a restaurant bathroom last year.

Hector Camacho, 57, of 71 Old Farm Rd, Weston, was charged with Criminal Attempt at Voyeurism with Malice following an investigation that began on Sept. 29, after a hidden camera was discovered by a patron inside the restroom of an undisclosed eatery.

The Detective Division of the Norwalk Police conducted extensive interviews, scrutinized surveillance videos, and employed forensic DNA analysis to identify a suspect, which led them to Camacho.

An arrest warrant was issued, and Camacho was taken into custody without incident.

He is currently being held on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 11.
