WARREN — A hit-and-run incident on Main St has left 37-year-old Julian Washington’s property significantly damaged, and Vermont State Police are on the lookout for a dark red truck or SUV involved in the early morning accident.

According to authorities, the accident occurred on Jan. 24 at around 7:20 a.m., when tire tracks leading to Washington’s property and a damaged fence were discovered.

The vehicle believed to be responsible had fled the scene before the damage was noted.

The suspected vehicle is described as a dark red truck or SUV, possibly a Chevrolet, with “4×4” and “Z71” badges.

It is expected to have sustained damage to the front bumper, driver’s side body panels, and headlight.

State Police are urging anyone with information about the vehicle or its driver to contact the Vermont State Police Berlin Barracks at 802-229-9191 to speak with Trooper Chandler.
