BOSTON — Boston Police Department announced Monday that Emmanuel Rivera-Robles, the suspect in a November burglary at a Dorchester elderly residential facility, has been apprehended.
Rivera-Robles, 37, surrendered to authorities in Connecticut on Jan. 27 after being pursued by District B-2 detectives.
He was wanted in connection with a break-in that occurred on Nov. 21, 2024, at a home on Woodcliff Street where an 85-year-old woman was robbed.
Disguised as a maintenance worker, Rivera-Robles forcibly entered the victim’s residence and stole her Social Security, EBT, MassHealth, and debit cards.
The elderly victim was reportedly left traumatized by the incident.
After a thorough investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance footage and identified a vehicle of interest.
A subsequent records check linked the vehicle to a traffic stop, where Rivera-Robles was identified from body-worn camera footage obtained from the Massachusetts State Police.
With the gathered evidence, detectives obtained arrest warrants, and the Boston Police Fugitive Unit coordinated Rivera-Robles’ surrender.
Following his arrest, Rivera-Robles was arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of breaking and entering in the daytime, trespassing, assault and battery of a person over 60 years of age, and larceny from a building.
