SALEM — Salem Police Department has reinstated its “Wanted Wednesday” initiative and is currently seeking the public’s help in identifying a man accused of stealing over $500 worth of tools from a local Lowe’s store.
The theft occurred a few days ago when the suspect entered the store, purportedly to shop for tools.
According to the police department, at some point during his visit, the man decided to leave the store with the tools without paying for them.
The suspect, described as a “taker of tools,” was captured on surveillance footage appearing confident as he entered the store but is now the subject of a police investigation.
The department has released images of the man in the hope that someone in the community will recognize him.
Salem Police Department’s Sergeant Verrocchi is leading the inquiry and has asked anyone with information about the identity of the suspect to contact him directly via email at mverrocchi@salemnh.gov or by phone at 603-893-1911.
The department thanks the community for any assistance in locating the individual responsible for the theft.
