LOWELL — Police seized cocaine, crack cocaine, prescription pills, and cash while executing a search warrant in the Lower Highlands neighborhood, leading to the arrest of three individuals.
The Lowell Police Department’s Special Investigation Section and Neighborhood Action Unit partnered with the Massachusetts State Police Special Investigations Unit to carry out the operation on Wednesday.
Authorities reported that the search was part of a targeted effort to combat drug trafficking in the area.
During the raid, officers found and confiscated an undisclosed amount of drugs and money.
Two of the suspects, a male and a female, have been charged with trafficking cocaine over 36 grams.
The third suspect, another female, faces charges for the illegal possession of a Class C substance.
The Lowell Police Department has been actively working to address drug-related issues in the community, with this bust marking a significant victory in their ongoing efforts.
The identities of the arrested individuals have not been released pending their arraignment.
The suspects are currently being held and are expected to appear in court to face their charges.
