GREENWICH — Greenwich police have apprehended a man accused of a robbery at a local store where he allegedly displayed a firearm when confronted by an employee.
Authorities responded to a call at approximately 10 a.m. on Jan. 28 at 1239 E Putnam Ave.
The initial report indicated a black male suspect attempted to leave the store without paying for items he had with him.
When a store employee challenged the suspect, he reportedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the employee.
The employee retreated, and the suspect fled the scene on foot.
Further investigation led officers to identify the suspect as 26-year-old Jaden C. Williams.
Police later located Williams at his residence and arrested him without incident.
He faces charges of 1st Degree Robbery and 6th Degree Larceny.
Authorities have not released additional details at this time.
