AUBURN — After a report of suspicious online behavior by an Auburn High School staff member, the Auburn Police Department conducted a thorough investigation which led to the arrest of Curtis Field, 29, of Vernon, Connecticut.
The inquiry began on Jan. 22 when the Auburn Public Schools Administration alerted police about the potential misconduct.
Following an extensive probe, detectives secured an arrest warrant for Field on charges of disseminating obscene material to a minor.
Field surrendered to authorities at the Auburn Police Station earlier today and was subsequently arraigned at the Worcester District Court.
He has been released on $500 cash bail under several conditions: no contact with any victims, a ban from Auburn and Spencer Schools, and no unsupervised contact with individuals under 16 years of age.
As the investigation remains active, Auburn Police encourage anyone with information to come forward.
