LEWISTON — A 14-year-old male was shot in the leg Thursday night in Lewiston, police said.
Officers responded to 129 Pierce St. at 10 p.m. on Jan. 23 after receiving a report of a male suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Lewiston Police Department.
Upon arrival, police found the injured teen and began providing medical assistance.
The victim was transported to Central Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said the teenager is refusing to cooperate with investigators.
Police do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
