ISLAND POND — Vermont State Police arrested Ryan Powers at a Railroad Street residence in Island Pond on Tuesday, two days after he allegedly attempted to break into an apartment and threatened a household member.

Powers, 26, was taken into custody without incident and arraigned on multiple warrants. He is being held without bail at Northern State Correctional Facility.

The arrest stemmed from a Sunday incident when police responded to a 911 call around 7:39 p.m. reporting Powers was attempting to break into an apartment.

Investigation revealed he had caused a household member to fear imminent serious bodily injury and violated court-ordered conditions of release.

At the time of the incident, Powers had seven unrelated active warrants for his arrest.
