STAMFORD — A man suspected of a Stamford homicide has been extradited from California and arraigned in Connecticut, police said Friday.
Juan Camillo Avila-Olmos, who was arrested in Los Angeles as a fugitive from justice, was returned to Connecticut on Jan. 10 to face charges in the death of Juan David Hernandez-Velasco at 77 Crystal St.
Avila-Olmos was arraigned at Stamford Superior Court on Jan. 13 on a charge of murder under statute 53a-54a.
The court set his bond at $5 million.
“The Stamford Police Department is dedicated to seeking justice for victims and their families,” said Captain Thomas Scanlon.

No further details on the case were immediately available.
