Portland police investigate late-night shooting on Eleanor Street

PORTLAND — Police responded to a shooting incident at a residence on Eleanor Street late Friday night, where they found evidence of multiple gunshots.

At 11:50 p.m. on Jan. 13, officers were called to 12 Eleanor Street after reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, they discovered several suspected bullet holes in the building, including one that penetrated a window and additional holes in the exterior siding.

Local residents reported hearing four to five loud bangs before contacting authorities.

This is not the first time the address has been the center of police attention; a previous emergency call was made on Oct. 13 last year when a gas line was hit.

Portland Police are actively investigating the incident and are seeking help from the public.

They encourage anyone with information to come forward and assist with the ongoing case.
