PORTSMOUTH — A Bremen, Maine, man was identified following a fatal crash on Interstate 95 that occurred last night, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Martin Osier, 62, died after his vehicle was involved in a multi-car accident on I-95 near Exit 7.

The preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 6:41 p.m., Osier’s 2010 Toyota Camry veered onto the left shoulder, sideswiping a cement barrier, and continued southbound with a deflated tire.

Roughly 2 miles farther, his vehicle stopped in the interstate’s travel lanes and was subsequently rear-ended by a Subaru Legacy and then a Dodge Durango.

Courtney Ramer, 31, of Dover, who was driving the Subaru, and Colleen Leonard, 56, of Hanson, Massachusetts, who was driving the Durango, were both treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released.

Osier was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

No passengers were in any of the vehicles involved in the crashes.

State Police, assisted by the Portsmouth Police Department, the Portsmouth Fire Department, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, and National Wrecker Service, closed I-95 southbound for about four hours for investigation and cleanup, diverting traffic at Exit 3B until the road was reopened at 10:58 p.m.

No charges have been filed at this time.
