Woman arrested after found unresponsive in car on I-189 in South Burlington

SOUTH BURLINGTON — Vermont State Police arrested a woman late Thursday evening after finding her unresponsive in her vehicle on Interstate 189.

Authorities were called to the scene at mile marker 4 on I-189 W at about 8:24 p.m.

Upon arrival, troopers discovered a Subaru Outback in the median with Lauren McCormick, 41, of Vermont, unresponsive in the driver’s seat.

After several attempts, troopers were successful in waking McCormick.

During the interaction, McCormick exhibited signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

McCormick was transported to the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks for processing.

At the end of the processing, she was cited for DUI drugs and is scheduled to appear at Chittenden County Superior Court on Jan. 30 at 8:30 a.m.
