Tamworth police confirm legitimacy of solar panel sales reps amid scam concerns

1 min read

TAMWORTH — After receiving multiple calls from concerned residents on Friday and Saturday about potential scams involving door-to-door salespeople, the Tamworth Police Department has confirmed that the individuals are legitimate representatives from Boundless, a solar panel energy company.

Residents reported unexpected visits from sales reps, sparking worries about property intrusion and potential fraudulent activity.

The police spoke with the salespersons, identified as Nick and Agatha, and verified with Boundless’ Human Resources department that they are indeed official employees conducting sales solicitation.

The representatives have been seen driving a red Mazda sedan with New Hampshire license plates and a black Subaru with Vermont plates.

The police department has clarified that while the town of Tamworth does not have a Solicitation Ordinance requiring salespeople to be permitted or licensed to sell within town limits, residents who do not wish to engage with the sales reps have the right to ask them to leave their property.

The Tamworth Police Department has stressed that their communication regarding the legitimacy of the sales representatives does not constitute an endorsement of Boundless or its services.

They advise residents to remain cautious and to thoroughly research before committing to any purchases or contracts, especially those involving financial transactions.
