MILTON — A single-vehicle accident late on Jan. 9 claimed the life of a Rochester man, according to a press release from the local police department.

At approximately 10:52 p.m., Milton Police and Fire and Rescue teams responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of Farmington Road and Nute’s Road.

The first officers on the scene found a car that had struck a tree on the right side of the road.

The driver, identified as 27-year-old Glenn Adjutant of Rochester, was the only person in the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

The Strafford County Regional Accident Reconstruction Team was summoned to investigate the crash.

Their initial assessment indicates that high speed may have been a factor.

Chief Thomas Hebert of the Milton Police Department expressed his department’s deep sympathies to the family of Mr. Adjutant.
