Woman arrested on warrant during traffic stop in Royalton

ROYALTON — A New Hampshire woman was arrested early Friday morning after a routine motor vehicle stop led to the discovery of an active arrest warrant.

Vermont State Police stopped Jenny Churchill, 44, of Newport, New Hampshire, in Royalton at approximately 1:30 a.m.

During the stop, troopers learned of Churchill’s outstanding warrant.

Churchill was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Vermont State Police – Royalton Barracks for processing.

Following her arrest, she was released with a citation to appear in court on Jan. 13.
