Woman arrested for DUI #3 in Arlington

ARLINGTON — A traffic stop conducted by the Vermont State Police on VT Route 7A led to the arrest of a Shaftsbury woman for her third DUI offense.

At 8:17 p.m. on Jan. 10, troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks stopped a vehicle after noting a motor vehicle violation.

The driver, identified as 69-year-old Michele D. Laroche of Shaftsbury, exhibited several signs of impairment, according to the police report.

Following the roadside investigation, Laroche was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.

She was processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks and subsequently released with a citation.

Laroche is scheduled to appear at the Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Feb. 3 at 8:30 a.m. to face the charges.
