Waterbury police seize drugs and cash in traffic stop, three arrested

WATERBURY — In a proactive patrol on Jan. 9, Waterbury Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop at around 7:12 p.m. near Willow and Hillside streets, resulting in the seizure of drugs, paraphernalia, and cash, and the arrest of three individuals on various drug charges.

During the stop, officers uncovered 28.6 grams of crack cocaine, 30 glassine bags of fentanyl packaged for sale, drug paraphernalia, and $113.76 in U.S. currency.

The evidence led to the arrests of Joshua Marcy, 32, of Pittsfield, MA; Randi Shook, 29, of Danbury, CT; and Brittany Waldron, 29, also of Danbury, CT.

All three were charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and possession of half an ounce or more of cocaine in free base form.

Following the arrests, each suspect was held on bond.

The suspects are scheduled for court arraignment today, where they will face the charges brought against them.

The Waterbury Police Department’s action underscores their ongoing efforts to combat drug-related activities within the community.
