MOUNT HOLLY — In response to a domestic disturbance call on Jan. 10, Vermont State Police arrested 68-year-old Chris Schneider on charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and unlawful mischief.
Troopers from the Rutland Barracks arrived at the scene in Mount Holly at approximately 7:40 p.m.
Upon investigation, they found evidence that Schneider had inflicted pain or bodily injury to a family or household member and had also burned property that he did not own.
Following the incident, Schneider was apprehended and transported to the Rutland barracks for processing.
A Judicial Officer was notified and subsequently ordered Schneider to be held without bail at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
The identity of the victim has been withheld by the Vermont State Police in accordance with their policy on domestic assault cases.
