BLOOMFIELD — Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in the armed robbery of a Chase Bank branch on Jan. 10.
The Bloomfield Police Department reported that the incident occurred at the bank located at 417 Cottage Grove Road in the Copaco Shopping Plaza around 11:30 a.m.
According to police, an unidentified male entered the bank armed with a handgun, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and a nylon mask.
The suspect managed to steal approximately $1,000 before fleeing the scene in a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by an accomplice.
The vehicle was seen heading westbound on Cottage Grove Road.
Captain Stephen Hajdasz of the Bloomfield Police Department is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information to come forward.
The police are treating this as an active investigation and anticipate releasing more details as they become available.
