STEUBEN — Multiple individuals have been arrested in connection with an October vehicle fire on Pinkham Bay Bridge Road, the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office announced Wednesday.
Cameron Brown, 30, of Steuben, was taken into custody shortly after the fire on Oct. 13, which was later determined to be a case of arson.
Brown faced charges of arson and theft and was transported to Hancock County Jail.
The investigation continued, leading to the Jan. 8 arrests of William Smeal, 38, and Taylor Keene, 37, at their home in Ellsworth.
Keene was identified as the owner of the vehicle involved in the October incident.
Both Smeal and Keene were charged with arson (class A), criminal conspiracy (class B), and criminal attempt (class C insurance deception).
They were also held at Hancock County Jail.
