KINGSTON — A fire that erupted earlier today in Kingston has been brought under control with no reported injuries, according to the Kingston Massachusetts Police Department.
Authorities reopened the affected roadway after it was temporarily closed for firefighting operations.
The fire, whose cause is still under investigation, showed no initial signs of foul play, police said.
Extreme cold temperatures have led to icy conditions in the area as a significant amount of water was used to extinguish the blaze.
The Kingston Highway Department has responded to the freeze by distributing additional salt on the roads.
