Campton police log 576 calls in December, make 9 arrests

CAMPTON — In a busy month for law enforcement, the Campton Police Department responded to 576 calls for service and made nine arrests during December.

Among the arrests, a 33-year-old woman was taken into custody on seven counts of incest.

A 27-year-old man faced multiple charges on Ken Mar Drive, including three counts of domestic violence assault, criminal mischief, and criminal threatening.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested for making a false report to law enforcement, while a 21-year-old man was apprehended for a slew of offenses, including operating as a habitual offender, reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, and multiple vehicle-related infractions on NH Route 49.

Interstate 93 was the scene of an arrest of a 45-year-old man for driving after suspension, disobeying an officer, and operating an uninspected vehicle.

Additionally, a 38-year-old woman was arrested for bail jumping, with shoplifting cited as the original offense.

The department also dealt with a 21-year-old female who was summoned to court over a nuisance dog complaint.

Traffic enforcement was also a focus, with police making 84 motor vehicle stops, issuing 81 warnings, and handing out three citations.

Officers responded to 12 motor vehicle crashes throughout the month.
