Randolph man faces multiple charges including sexual assault, voyeurism

RANDOLPH — A 40-year-old Sharon man was arrested on charges including two counts of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, voyeurism, soliciting prostitution, attempted obstruction of justice, and furnishing alcohol to a minor, Vermont State Police said.

Jonathan Rau was taken into custody on Jan. 8 after an investigation into a reported sexual assault in Randolph, police said in a statement.

The incident was initially reported to the Royalton Barracks on Dec. 4.

Following the arrest, Rau was held without bail and is scheduled to appear at the Orange County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Jan. 9 at 12:30 p.m.

The investigation into the allegations against Rau remains active.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Vermont State Police – Royalton Barracks.
