ADDISON — On the night of Jan. 8, the Vermont State Police responded to an emergency call that ended abruptly at a residence on Carr Road.
Alejandro V. Hernandez, a 28-year-old resident of Addison, was arrested following a physical altercation with a family member that caused the victim to fear for their safety.
The incident was reported to the New Haven Barracks of the Vermont State Police at 11:42 p.m. through a 911 hang-up call.
Upon investigation, officers determined that Hernandez had engaged in a violent dispute.
He was taken into custody and processed at the New Haven barracks.
Following his arrest, Hernandez was held at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Center.
Hernandez is scheduled to appear in Addison Superior Court on Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. to face charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault.
The Vermont State Police have not released the name of the victim, adhering to policies that protect the identities of individuals involved in domestic violence or sexual assault cases.
