Lyndon gas station robbed at knifepoint, police seek suspect

LYNDON — Vermont State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Mobil Mart on Broad Street after a man brandishing a knife demanded money from the cashier.

The incident took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 5, when police say an unidentified white male, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, threatened the station’s attendant with a knife.

The Mobil Mart employees were unharmed during the confrontation.

Surveillance footage revealed the suspect wearing tan shoes and a matching coat, with a light-colored bandana obscuring his face.

After the robbery, the suspect was seen entering a light-colored sedan driven by an accomplice.

State Police have released images from the store’s security cameras in hopes that the public can help in identifying the suspect or the vehicle.
