NASHUA — A Hudson man was arrested on charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault involving an 11-year-old girl, authorities said Tuesday.

Aleisandro Garcia, 22, was apprehended by the Nashua Police Department on Jan. 7 on a felony warrant stemming from a September incident at Mine Falls Park, according to officials.

The investigation began on Sept. 15, when police received a report that Garcia had met with the young girl at the park the previous day and engaged in several sexual acts with her.

Detectives from the Special Investigations Division conducted further inquiries, which led to Garcia’s arrest.

In addition to the initial charge, Garcia faces a second count of aggravated felonious sexual assault, two counts of felonious sexual assault, and one count of gross lewdness in the presence of a child — all class B felonies.

Garcia was held without bail and is scheduled for arraignment at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on Jan. 8 at 1 p.m.

The Nashua Police Department has encouraged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Crime Line at (603)-589-1665.
