BOSTON — Boston Police Department’s East Boston Drug Control Unit apprehended two men, Jheury Rodriguez-Soriano and Michael Bussey, on the evening of Jan. 7, following an apparent drug transaction in East Boston.
At about 5:30 p.m., officers were on patrol near 944 Bennington Street when they noticed a vehicle enter a parking lot and engage in suspicious activity.
The vehicle, after a brief encounter with an individual, was monitored and subsequently stopped on Wordsworth Street.
During the investigation, officers found 91 grams of fentanyl and 93.6 grams of crack cocaine/cocaine in the vehicle, along with $753 in cash.
Rodriguez-Soriano, 32, of Lawrence, faces charges including trafficking and distribution of Class A and Class B substances.
Bussey, 31, of Salisbury, was charged with possession of Class A and Class B drugs.
Both individuals are scheduled for arraignment at the East Boston District Court.
