WATERBURY — A routine traffic stop turned into a significant drug bust on Jan. 5, when Waterbury Police officers conducting patrols around Grove Street and North Main Street pulled over a vehicle for multiple traffic violations at 6:58 p.m.
The stop led to the discovery and seizure of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, 12 grams of heroin, and $161 in U.S currency.
Dishawn Dozier, 44, of Waterbury, was arrested and faces several charges including operation of a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, insufficient insurance, failure to display lights, failure to obey a stop sign, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
Dozier was released on a promise to appear in court, with an arraignment scheduled for Jan. 16.
