WATERBURY — At approximately 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 4, officers from the Waterbury Police Department were conducting proactive patrols when they spotted a 2009 Nissan Altima, reported stolen from the city, parked at 428 West Main Street.
Upon observing three individuals exiting the stolen vehicle and entering the Big Apple Motel, officers proceeded to investigate.
Inside the motel, police located and apprehended all three suspects, seizing drug paraphernalia and narcotics in the process.
The suspects, identified as Claude Parker, 56, Alina Savage, 28, and Yahaira Lluberes, 43, are all Waterbury residents.
During the investigation, a fourth individual, Hykia Dillard, 29, also from Waterbury, was found with the group and taken into custody.
Dillard was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance (1st offense) and was released on a promise to appear in court.
Parker, Savage, and Lluberes were each charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, larceny of a motor vehicle (1st offense), and possession of a controlled substance (1st offense).
They were also released on a promise to appear in court.
