SMITHFIELD — At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 6, the Smithfield Police Department responded to a reported breaking-and-entering on Ridge Road near the North Providence town line.
A resident reportedly interrupted the suspect during the act, and forced entry into the home was confirmed.
Ring doorbell footage obtained from the scene captured images of the suspect, who is believed to have arrived in an older model Nissan Altima.
Authorities are now seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect involved in the incident.
