Man charged with DUI after crash on I-89 in Georgia

GEORGIA — A single-vehicle crash on I-89 Northbound Exit 18 led to the arrest of a Milton man for driving under the influence and operating with a suspended license on Dec. 17.

Zackary Bundy, 26, was driving a 2016 Ford Focus when he was involved in an accident that left his vehicle totaled.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene around 5:21 p.m. and discovered Bundy had sustained suspected minor injuries.

He was taken to Northwest Medical Center in St. Albans for treatment.

During the interaction with Bundy, troopers noted signs of impairment.

It was also determined that Bundy was driving with a criminally suspended Vermont Driver’s License and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

Following the investigation, Bundy received a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court – Criminal Division to face charges of DUI and driving with a suspended license.

Emergency services, including Georgia Fire, Fairfax Rescue, and Thompson Towing, provided assistance at the crash site.
