LYNDONVILLE — A local man wanted on a domestic assault charge was arrested Saturday morning after officers spotted his vehicle, which was previously flagged by Vermont State Police.

According to the Lyndonville Police Department, at 7:57 a.m. on Jan. 7, an officer identified a suspicious vehicle along Route 122.

The car matched the description from a recent Be On The LookOut (BOLO) alert.

Checks revealed that the vehicle’s owner, Damien Ferrante, 51, of Barnet, had an active $1000 arrest warrant issued by the Caledonia Superior Court.

Ferrante was apprehended without resistance further down Route 122.

Following the arrest, he appeared before the Honorable Court for arraignment.

The Lyndonville Police have not released additional details regarding Ferrante’s case or the circumstances leading to the issuance of the BOLO alert.
