SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate the rightful owner of a stolen bicycle recovered in the Main St area.
The bicycle was found following a theft reported to have occurred overnight between Jan. 4 and Jan. 5.
Officers are reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying the individual or family to whom the bicycle belongs.
Members of the public who believe the bicycle may be theirs are encouraged to contact Officer Briere or Corporal Perkins with the Springfield Police Department.
To ensure the bicycle is returned to its legitimate owner, claimants will be asked to provide specific identifying features of the bicycle.
The Springfield Police Department expresses its commitment to solving this case and thanks the community in advance for any information that may help.
