Man faces multiple charges after assault, resisting arrest in North Troy

NORTH TROY — A local man was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, impeding public officers, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct after an incident on Geraldine Ave.

State Police responded to a call at 12:27 p.m. on Jan. 3 from Michael Mason, 57, reporting that Jedd Willey, 37, was threatening and assaulting him at a North Troy residence.

Upon arrival, officers began to interview witnesses when Willey became aggressive and interfered with the investigation.

When Troopers attempted to detain Willey, he did not comply and resisted, leading to the use of force.

No injuries were reported during the altercation.

Willey was taken into custody and transported to the Derby Barracks, followed by a transfer to the Northern State Correctional Facility for holding.
