Man arrested on DUI charges after Westford crash

WESTFORD — A single-vehicle crash late Saturday night led to the arrest of an Enosburgh man on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Vermont State Police responded to the incident on VT Route 15 near Bill Cook Road at approximately 11:45 p.m. The operator, identified as 45-year-old Daniel Pierce, failed to maintain his lane and drove off the roadway into a ditch.

Upon arrival, troopers observed signs of impairment while interacting with Pierce.

Following a roadside investigation, he was taken into custody for suspected DUI.

Pierce was subsequently processed at the Williston Barracks and released with a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on a future date to face the charges.
