Boston police investigate death of man shot in Charlestown

BOSTON — Boston police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot in a Charlestown parking lot late Saturday night.

At about 10:33 p.m., on Jan. 4, officers from District A-15 responded to a report of a pedestrian struck at 140 Main Street.

Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male lying on the ground in the parking lot.

An initial investigation indicated the victim had been shot, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Boston EMS.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively seeking information regarding the circumstances of the incident.

The department is calling on anyone with knowledge of the event to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.

The police have also provided avenues for community members to submit tips anonymously.

The identities of individuals providing information anonymously will be protected.
