SANDGATE — Following a devastating fire on Chunks Brook Road Wednesday morning, autopsies were completed for the two deceased victims, identified as Nicole Grogan, 22, and her 12-day-old son, Oliver Stratton, according to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington.
While the cause and manner of death for Grogan and her infant remain pending, two other victims of the incident continue to receive treatment at a hospital in New York.
The Vermont State Police, alongside the Vermont Department of Public Safety Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit and the Vermont Division of Fire Safety, are working to determine the origin and cause of the blaze that occurred around 11:30 a.m.
Authorities have not yet released additional details about the ongoing investigation.
