Lyndon man arrested on probation violation warrant

LYNDONVILLE — A routine traffic stop on New Boston Road led to the arrest of a 52-year-old Lyndon man on an outstanding warrant, Lyndonville Police Department reported.

Gary Audas was stopped by Officer Renaudette at 9:03 a.m. on Jan. 4 for a motor vehicle violation.

During the stop, it was discovered Audas had an active arrest warrant issued by the Vermont Department of Corrections for a probation violation related to an underlying offense of Accessory after the Fact.

Audas was taken into custody without incident and has been lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.

He is being held in lieu of $2,000 cash or surety bond pending further legal action.
