WINDSOR LOCKS — A man has been arrested and is awaiting extradition after allegedly threatening violence at a UPS facility, Windsor Locks Police Department reported.
On Dec. 14, at approximately 8 a.m., UPS staff at 120 Old County Road contacted police to report an employee who had made threats of deadly force against staff members.
Responding officers identified the suspect as 30-year-old Saul Caraballo of Plainfield Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, a man with a history of both felony and misdemeanor encounters with law enforcement.
An investigation led to an arrest warrant for Caraballo on charges of first-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.
The Windsor Locks Police Department worked with Massachusetts courts to coordinate extradition procedures due to Caraballo’s residence in Springfield.
Massachusetts law enforcement partners, including the MA Fugitive Task Force, were informed of the active warrant.
On Dec. 31, Windsor Locks Police were notified that Caraballo had been located and taken into custody by the task force.
Caraballo is currently held by Massachusetts authorities, awaiting extradition to Connecticut, where he will face charges for the crimes committed in Windsor Locks.
