St. Albans police recover $6,000 in stolen tools, make arrests

ST. ALBANS — A larceny investigation led to the recovery of about $6,000 in stolen tools and the arrest of several individuals after St. Albans Police were dispatched to the Franklin County Courthouse parking lot on Jan. 1.

The incident, which involved theft from a motor vehicle parked on Lake Street, did not result in damage to the vehicle.

Police, collaborating with the victim, traced the stolen tools to multiple apartments at 16 Lake Street in the city.

On Jan. 2, St. Albans Police Department executed search warrants at the identified Lake Street location.

The searches led to the recovery of the stolen tools and the discovery of suspected controlled substances.

Additionally, several residents at the address were found to have active arrest warrants.

Allan Boomhower, 35, Denise Broe, 36, and Jeffry Robtoy, 55, all from St. Albans, were taken into custody.

Boomhower was briefly detained on a cite and release warrant, while Broe was lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Facility and Robtoy at the Northwest Correctional Facility, both on arrest warrants with bail.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities anticipate further charges.
