NEWINGTON — An 18-year-old South Windsor man was arrested on Jan. 2 after a joint operation between Newington and South Windsor Police Departments, according to a news release from the Newington Police Department.

Brian Misztal was taken into custody on an active domestic arrest warrant linked to an incident that occurred on Dec. 23 in Newington.

Officers tried to stop Misztal’s vehicle, but he allegedly refused to pull over.

Misztal faces multiple charges, including two counts of violation of a protective order, risk of injury to a child, reckless endangerment in the first degree, interfering with an officer, reckless driving, and failure to obey a stop sign.

He was detained on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at New Britain Superior Court on Jan. 3.
