NEW LONDON — Police responded to reports of gunfire and an injured man at the intersection of Shaw St. and Ann St. tonight at around 7:20 p.m.
Officers arriving at the scene found a man who had apparently suffered a gunshot wound.
He was promptly taken to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Authorities have secured the area and are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
