CHICOPEE — A lengthy narcotics investigation culminated in an arrest on Friday after the Chicopee Police Narcotics Unit, in collaboration with the Hampden County Narcotics Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence on Nelligan Dr.
The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Michael Drost, was at the home during the search and was taken into custody.
Detectives found 282 bags of a brown powder substance believed to be heroin and a white rock substance suspected to be crack cocaine.
Additionally, over $700 in cash was seized from the property.
Drost has been charged with possession to distribute cocaine and possession to distribute a Class A drug.
